I felt a lot of fear during the first weeks of motherhood. I was miserable. I was angry. I felt helpless at times. But, the fear was my greatest teacher. I learned a deeper strength in choosing gratitude in spite of my circumstances. Choosing gratitude in spite of the fear doesn’t mean you ignore what the fear is trying to teach you. It means you choose to let it teach you. You let the fear wash over you. You OWN that fear. Face it. Make hard decisions. Because facing it - admitting the fear - is the only way you will move to pure consistent joy of gratitude. - Lara
P.S. Happy birthday to my beautiful mom who has always taught me to be grateful for the things that matter most - sunsets, love, family and most of all, God. I love you, mom!
